ATHENS — "The Labour Ministry supports the development of the institution of occupational retirement insurance, as it considers this a critical factor for the prosperity of society," Labour and Social Affairs Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said on Thursday, addressing the 2nd Occupational Retirement Provision Forum.
"One cannot talk about the pensions issue while ignoring the new social and demographic facts," Hatzidakis said.
He also stressed the importance of supervision, the design of the offered pension products, but also the management of reserves.
