HABA Announces Results of Elections

NEW YORK – The Hellenic American Association for Professionals in Finance (HABA) Officials and Directors announced on June 26 the results of their recent elections.

Election of Officers for 2020-2021

President: Robert Savage, BNY Mellon

Vice President: Chris Thomas, Simon Quick Advisors LLC

Treasurer: Costas Kellas, Objecutive, Inc.

Secretary: Panagiota Mahendru, Center for Employment Opportunities Inc.

Election of Directors

HABA welcomed the following Directors who were elected for 2-year terms:

Emmanuel Caravanos, Arab Bank Plc

James P. Gerkis, Proskauer Rose LLP

Demetri Papacostas, Bloomberg L.P.

Kondilia Parissi, First Eagle Investment Management

Loukas Tasigianis, Carta

Fanny Trataros, Law Offices of Fanny Tratatos

HABA also announced the appointment of Alexandros Papadopoulos, Dell EMC, who is filling a recently vacated Director position for a 1-year term. The prganization also stated: “We would like to recognize Sophia Prountzos for her many years of service to HABA as a past Secretary and Director and John C. Tsunis for his contributions to the Board.

“Finally, a big thank you to all our Members for your participation and continued support! In these difficult times, we are happily extending all 2020 paid memberships through calendar year 2021. HABA is a not-for-profit organization established in 1982 to promote the professional and educational interest of Greek-Americans, Cypriots, and Phil-Hellenes in the banking and finance industries.
