HABA Announces Newly-Elected Officers for 2024-2025

NEW YORK – Hellenic American Association for Professionals in Finance (HABA) announced the results of their elections which took place on September 25. In the statement via email, HABA noted that “The Officers and Directors of HABA are pleased to announce the results of last night’s annual elections.”

Election of Officers for 2024-2025: President Chris Thomas, Simon Quick Advisors LLC; Vice President James P. Gerkis, Proskauer Rose LLP; Treasurer Costas Kellas, Objecutive, Inc.; and Secretary Panagiota Mahendru, Low Income Investment Fund. The following Directors were elected for two-year terms: Alexandros Papadopoulos, Papadopoulos Group, Inc. and Robert Savage, BNY Mellon.

“We are also pleased to announce the appointments of Catherine Gerkis, The Gladstone Companies, and Christina Yialamas Sanchez, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, who are filling recently vacated Director positions for one-year terms. Additionally, we welcome our new Young Professionals Group (YPG) committee: Stefanos Crist, Needham & Co., Arthur Darby, Citi Personal Wealth Management (Citigroup), and Demetrios Skoumbakis, Cushman and Wakefield.

“We would like to recognize Alexia Kalfas for her service to HABA as Vice President this past year, Loukas Tasigiannis for his contributions as a Director and YPG committee member, and Gina Valliades for her work with HABA’s YPG as well.

“Thank you to all our Members for your participation and continued support. We hope to see you at our next event on October 2,” the statement concluded.
