Greek Unemployment Fell to 13.3% in October

ATHENS – Greek unemployment rate fell to 13,3% in October from 16,4% in October 2020, but rose slightly from 13% in September 2021, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Wednesday. More specifically, the number of unemployed people totaled 617,511 in October, down 20% from October 2020, but rose 1% from September. The unemployment rate among women was 17.5%, down from 20.1% in 2020, while among men it fell to 9.9% from 13.4%, respectively.

The unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group eased to 32.1% in October from 35.4% in October 2020 and fell to 12.3% from 15.5%, respectively, in the 25-74 age group. The number of employed people was 4,027,505, up 2.5% from October last year, but down 1.2% from September 2021.
