ATHENS – Champions for Life is the nonprofit created by the Legends 2004, as the former Greek national soccer team players who won the Euro 2004 championship are known.
Their victory is celebrated as one of the greatest sporting moments in Greece’s history, and the team continues to inspire new generations by upholding the values that underpin sports success.
In the fall of 2022, Champions for Life traveled to various cities in Greece and Cyprus to organize six Legends 2004 Youth Cup events for young soccer players up to 12 years old.

From Rhodes to Kalamata and from Amfissa to Nicosia, the Legends shared their values and ideals, the joy of sports, and the principles of team spirit, imparting their knowledge to more than 1,200 children in total. During each event, kids from local football academies had the opportunity to build experience coaching and playing and gain valuable life skills.
The Legends 2004 Youth Cup activities were made possible through a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
