Greek Postal Service Warns of Possible Delays in Pension Payments

ATHENS – Hellenic Post (ELTA) on Wednesday warned that pension payments may be delayed in 16 areas in the country, due to a technical glitch in the environment supporting IT applications used by the offices of the Consignment Deposits and Loan Fund in the regions.

This caused a delay in forwarding the sums due to ELTA in these 16 areas and could result in a delay in the payment of pensions.

The areas that may possibly be affected include Arta, Edessa, Kavala, Kalamata, Karditsa, Karpenissi, Kilkis, Kozani, Corinth, Larisa, Mesologgi, Preveza, Syros, Trikala and Halkida.
