Greek Police Arrest 143 for Violating Health Protection Measures

ATHENS — The Greek police on Monday announced that 399 people were brought in for questioning on Sunday, December 6, in Attica, and 143 eventually placed under arrest.

According to the announcement, issued by the Attica General Police Directorate, the 143 under arrest were charged with violating the measures related to the prevention of diseases.

Greek authorities banned all public gatherings and rallies on Sunday to mark the 12th anniversary of the killing of teenager Alexis Grigoropoulos by a police officer in Athens.
