Greek PM Chairs Meeting on Support of Households, Enterprises

ATHENS – The evaluation of the condition in the international energy market and the assumption of additional support measures to households and enterprises in January 2022, dominated a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion on Friday (New Year’s Eve).

The decisions will be announced next week, while during the meeting were also examined the repercussions from the electricity rates increase on households and enterprises, the inflation level and the available alternatives for a more targetted and effective package of state support to all those that are being plagued.

In the meeting participated Energy and Environment Minister Kostas Skrekas, State Ministers Giorgos Gerapetritis and Akis Skertsos, Alternate Finance Minister Theodoros Skylakakis, Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and government spokesman Yiannis Economou, the general secretary of the Prime Minister’s office Grigoris Dimitriadis, the general secretary of Energy Alexandra Sdoukou, the general secretary of fiscal policy Thanos Petralias and the head of Prime Minister’s Economic Office Alexis Patelis.
