Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
PARIS – Archmandrite Dimitrios Ploumis, head of the Greek Orthodox region of southern France, was unanimously elected metropolitan of France by the Ecumenical Patriarchate's Sacred and Holy Synod on Tuesday.
Ploumis is also head of the historic Greek Orthodox community of the Dormition of the Mother of God Orthodox Church, Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
His investiture will take place on Sunday at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
