Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
Greek government and party leaders congratulated Lefteris Petrounias for winning gold on still rings at the 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Saturday in Basel.
President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and party leaders Alexis Tsipras (SYRIZA), Fofi Gennimata (Movement for Change/KINAL) and the Communist Party of Greece among others praised the return of "the lord of the rings" Petrounias to competition following an injury.
Messages also came in from Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias and Alternate FM Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, and SYRIZA representative for sports Thanos Moraitis, among others.
