December 21, 2020

BOSTON – For those interested in Greek-themed gift baskets this holiday season, wine expert Fotios Stamos shared two new selections from the Greek Wine Club website, the Greek Wine & Gourmet Food Basket and The Great Greek Spirit Package.

The Greek Wine & Gourmet Food Basket offers the experience of the essence of Greece through this curated wine and gourmet food collection. Each package consists of two bottles of wine from Greece’s top wine producers along with three artisanal food products that will amaze and delight every palate. All the products fall under the category of either organic, biodynamic, or vegan from sustainable farming practices, and are non-GMO, and all-natural.

As Stamos noted, “These packages make an amazing gift idea. Send your loved ones or clients the gift of Greece through our amazing Greek Wine & Gourmet Food packages… delivered to the front door!”

The Great Greek Spirit Package features four of Greece’s premier brands, Kleos Mastiha, Stray Dog Wild Gin, Zacharias Tsipouro, and Plomari Ouzo. Experience the spirit of Greece through these hand crafted selections.

Kleos Mastiha is Greece’s first luxury spirit brand and the world’s first super premium mastiha liqueur, made by hand in small batches via a distillation of the rare Mastiha “tears” and the addition of Mastiha essential oils.

Stray Dog Wild Gin, one of Greece’s first gins, combines the rich distilling and spirits culture with the wondrous flavors of the rugged mountainside. Distilled with wild Greek botanicals, such as mountain sage, rosemary, fennel seed, and bay leaf, as well as other classic botanicals such as mastiha resin, Stray Dog has a distinctly savory and herbal flavor profile.

Zacharias Tsipouro is produced from seven different local grape varieties from low yields and offers a delicate and aromatic character, clean and elegant aromas, a round mouthful and a fruity aftertaste.

Plomari Ouzo, one of Greece’s most iconic ouzos, is true to its roots from Lesvos. The unique recipe Ouzo of Plomari contains a multitude of seeds and herbs of Lesvos along with fennel, asteroid anise, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mastic extracts.
