Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
PHILADELPHIA – The Greek Flag-Raising Ceremony was held at City Hall in Philadelphia on March 31, ahead of the Greek Independence Parade set for Sunday, April 2.
The members of the Hellenic Presidential Guard, the Evzones, were among those present along with Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and many dignitaries who will be participating in the parade such as Ambassador of Greece to the United States and 2023 Eleftheria Medal recipient Alexandra Papadopoulou, His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia, and Consul of Greece in New York Dimitris Papageorgiou.
Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley President Georgia Chletcos and past president Efstathios Karadonis were among the speakers who addressed the attendees at the event.
