Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – A firefighter was injured when a snake bit him as he was helping to put a fire out in Neapoli, at the Andravida-Kyllini township in western Peloponnese on Friday.
The man was transported to a local health center.
The fire is burning at a farm and forest region but is not threatening any residences, the Fire Brigade said. A total of 30 firefighers with 9 trucks and a ground team are on site.
