November 24, 2020

ATHENS — The Panhellenic Federation of Public Hospital Employees (POEDIN) on Tuesday announced that it will participate in a 24-hour strike announced by the public-sector workers' union federation ADEDY on Thursday, November 26, and is organising rallies at the gate of hospitals at 8:00. At noon it is planning a rally outside the health ministry.

POEDIN demands the granting of a Christmas bonus to all health workers, inclusion of healthcare staff in the arduous and hazardous occupations insurance category, as well as measures to protect public health and workers in the midst of a pandemic with adequate staffing, funding, personal protective equipment and permanent jobs.

For Hellenes and Philhellenes, there are a variety places, sentiments, and ideas that draw them to different parts of the Hellenic world.
