Greek Education Min: Everything Ready for the Re-Opening of Schools

September 10, 2020

ATHENS — "Everything is ready," for the re-opening of schools on Monday, September 14, Education Minister Niki Kerameus said on Thursday after her visit to a primary school in Evosmos, as part of her tour of schools in Central Macedonia.

"All the preparations have been made for the start of the school year," she stressed and explained that the recruitment of teachers has been done earlier than in previous years, the books are in place and special preparations have been made for the management of the pandemic and the protection/prevention measures against coronavirus.

She reiterated that special instructions on the measures have been sent to schools, and an entire framework of legislative measures issued which deal with every detail of how the schools will operate as of next Monday, while an information campaign has been launched addressed to parents, teachers and students regarding all protection and prevention measures. All this is posted on the special website "mathainoumeasfaleis.gov.gr".
