Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ALEXANDRIA – Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos and the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Chief General Konstantinos Floros attended on Saturday the military exercise Medusa taking place in Alexandria, Egypt.
Panagiotopoulos has been in Egypt since Thursday on a three-day official visit.
The exercise, which takes place twice a year, involves a large number of warships, fighter jets and attack helicopters, as well as 2,100 personnel from four Mediterranean countries: Egypt, France, Greece and the United Arab Emirates. and Cyprus.
According to the organisers, the joint exercise aims to strengthen maritime security in the Mediterranean Sea.
