Greek Consulate Announces Virtual Assistant in English & Greek to Help Community

NEW YORK – The Consulate General of Greece in New York announced the creation of a Virtual Assistant to help the Greek community with its questions concerning procedures, documentation, costs, and setting up an appointment, if needed.

The Virtual Assistant is available online through the Consulate General’s website: https://www.mfa.gr/usa/en/consulate-general-in-new-york.

Information about documentation is also available online: https://www.mfa.gr/usa/en/consulate-general-in-new-york/about-us/sections.html.

For appointments: https://www.mfa.gr/usa/en/consulate-general-in-new-york/make-an-appointment.

Consul General of Greece in New York Konstantinos Koutras sent the following message via email:

Dear fellow Greeks,

I hope this message finds you and your families safe!

During these uncertain times due to the pandemic, the Consulate General of Greece in New York has succeeded in remaining open, providing services to our compatriots, which are needed now more than ever before.

We do so by abiding by all health and safety guidelines, set out by the US and Greek Authorities.

To further assist you, we created the Consulate’s VIRTUAL ASSISTANT in both English and Greek.

Type your question and the virtual assistant will get to the core of your query,

providing information on the procedure, documentation, cost and necessary appointments.

We also recommend that you consult our website and social media regularly. Use the email as much as possible and request the option of video sessions/traditional mail instead of coming to the Consulate in person. The virtual assistant can indicate where this is applicable. Lastly, should you have any suggestions which will improve our services, email us at [email protected] and do not hesitate to share your feedback with us.

As the Holiday Season approaches, we wish everyone health, happiness and faith.

Konstantinos Koutras
