Greek Chef Christos Bisiotis Shares His Immigrant Success Story

July 30, 2024

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Greek chef Christos Bisiotis’s inspiring journey, featured in Fox News Digital, started when he left Athens for New York City, eventually leading him to cook at the White House and now prepare fresh meals for clients in Florida.

Elsie Castelblanco, a Brickell Key resident, eagerly awaits Bisiotis every Monday at 11 AM for her week’s worth of meals. Despite the 50-mile trip from his Coral Springs kitchen to Miami, it’s a small feat compared to his journey from Greece to New York City in 2007.

Arriving in NYC on Christmas without knowing anyone, Bisiotis found his first job at Christos Steak House. His career flourished with positions at the Edison Ballroom and Eataly NYC Flatiron. “The opportunities I found here are unparalleled,” he said.

In 2013, while at a charity event attended by former President Clinton, Bisiotis’s culinary skills caught the attention of the White House. He became the first and youngest Greek chef to cook there, regularly preparing meals during the Obama administration and teaching the staff to make fresh pasta.

Bisiotis also cooked for the annual Congress dinner and launched Locale Market in St. Petersburg in 2014. After a stint at Avra Madison in NYC, he moved to California in 2018 to help open Avra Beverly Hills, cooking for stars like LeBron James and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Returning to NYC in 2019 to open his own restaurant, Egéo, Bisiotis’s dream was thwarted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Adapting to the new reality, he relocated to Florida in 2020.

In Florida, he reignited his passion for pasta, creating Bellita Pasta, named after his daughter, Anne Bella. Alongside this, he delivers prepared meals to residents from Palm Beach County to Miami. Castelblanco, a semi-retired real estate agent, praises Bisiotis as an “amazing chef” and a “blessing.”

Recently, Bisiotis celebrated the birth of his son, Andonios, on July 19, coinciding with his 36th birthday.
