Greek-Canadian Heritage Museum: Consultation and Request for Feedback

TORONTO – Celebrating the 200th anniversary of Greek Independence on March 25, 2021, the Government of Ontario, led by Premier Doug Ford and Minister Lisa MacLeod, committed $325,000 to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada for the development of a Greek-Canadian Heritage Museum.

As part of the work to create this shared community space, the Archdiocese is committed to consulting with and hearing from Greek-Canadians across the country, and sent out a note that says:

“We want to learn about the top priorities and historical issues that should be addressed and displayed in the museum. If you have ideas, suggestions for inclusion, potential artefacts for consideration, we would like to hear from you.

“This is your opportunity to have your voice heard. We welcome your feedback through this consultative process … all submissions will be carefully reviewed and considered. We thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to creating the Greek-Canadian Heritage Museum that honors our shared history and inspires future generations to greatness.”
