Greek Army Chief Participates in Int’l Military Innovation Conference in Israel

ATHENS – The chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, participated in the 1st International Military Innovation Conference, held at Camp Dayan in Tel Aviv.

Floros participated in the conference on Wednesday, September 14, at the invitation of his counterpart Lieutenant General Aviv Kohavi, the Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, who declared the opening of the event.

The purpose of the conference was to exchange views and deepen the cooperation of the participants in the fields of strategy and defence, to support and expand innovation, to accelerate initiatives and processes that promote innovation in the Armed Forces, as well as to understand and address the emerging common defence and security challenges at the strategic and operational levels.

There were also presentations of start-up companies.

As part of his visit to Israel, he participated in an event at the Presidential Palace in Jerusalem, where the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, welcomed and hosted his guests.

Furthermore, he met with the ambassador of Greece in Israel, Kyriakos Loukakis, and they discussed the situation in the region, as well as the significant deepening of relations and Military Cooperation between Greece and Israel, as a result of their continuous joint effort to consolidate security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond.


NEW JERSEY – The chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Bob Menendez of New Jersey, sent a new message to Turkey that in the event it takes any action against Greece, it will suffer the consequences.
