Greek Armed Forces Participate in the NATO Exercise “Dynamic Manta 21”

ATHENS – The Greek Armed Forces are participating in the NATO exercise "Dynamic Manta 21" with the frigate "Kountouriotis", a submarine and a naval operations aircraft of the Hellenic Navy, in the wider sea area east of Sicily.

Τhe exercise is taking place between Monday, February 22 and Friday, March 5.

"Dynamic Manta 21" is conducted by NATO on an annual basis, with the aim of training participants in anti-submarine warfare under realistic conditions, in complex operational scenarios and multi-threat environment, as well as promoting the level of cooperation of units in an allied framework.

The exercise involves surface units, submarines, helicopters, naval aircraft and personnel, from France, Germany, Greece, the United States, Italy, Turkey as well as units of the Allied naval force Standing NATO Maritime Group 2.
