Greek-Americans on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List

NEW YORK – Forbes released its annual list of the 30 Under 30 and Greek-Americans were among the honorees on the prestigious list for 2021 in three categories – Hollywood & Entertainment, Media, and Manufacturing & Industry,

In Hollywood & Entertainment, Michael Apostolos, 25, Founder of Fourline Creative, was on the list. The Chicago native began in the industry at age 16 and as a “creative director and lighting designer has since worked with Jennifer Hudson, Billie Eilish, and Chance the Rapper, as well as for award shows like the Grammys, BET Awards and Billboard Music Awards,” Forbes reported, adding that “in January, he founded Fourline Creative which has designed sets for SNL, The Late Late Show with James Cordon, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

On the 30 Under 30 list in the Media category, Joanie Vasiliadis, 29, is the Vice President for Digital Content at Tegna, where she “encourages local television news stations to make their websites into places for impactful, original content,” Forbes reported, noting that “Vasiliadis, who works with 50 newsrooms, pushed for company-wide misinformation training, built Tegna's national desk and brought its fact-checking franchise Verify to Snapchat.”

In the Manufacturing & Industry category, Athanasios Karachotzitis, 26, was honored along with his fellow cofounders of Authenticiti, Jeong Woo Park, 25, and Andrew Yang, 27, Forbes reported, adding that the company, founded in 2016, is “a supply chain data platform [for manufacturers] powered by blockchain.”

As noted on the company’s website, “With Authenticiti you can gain real-time visibility, trusted insights, and streamline the supply chain processes, automate manual tasks, reduce lead-time, eliminate SLA [service-level agreement] disputes, and ultimately save millions in operating costs – all in an easy and codeless manner.”

The three cofounders “raised $2.1 million to centralize the siloed enterprise systems of modern supply chains and aggregate data to one source,” Forbes reported, noting that “a pilot project aggregated order-to-cash data between GE Aviation's and Lockheed Martin's siloed systems to provide real-time shared visibility into the shipment of gaskets,” and “revenue is expected to reach $2.6 million in 2021.”

For those unfamiliar with the term “siloed systems,” “an information silo is an information management system that is unable to freely communicate with other information management systems,” according to Investopedia, which adds that “communication within an information silo is always vertical, making it difficult or impossible for the system to work with unrelated systems.”
