Greeks won 2-0 Suffolk County FC, away at Manor Field Park in Huntington Station. We were short stacked with 1 sub but good enough due to Halloween family commitments. Tied 0-0 at halftime. In the 48th minute James Greco recieved a pass left from Ettienne Botty. James was slide tacked from 2 sides, taken down, but managed to send the ball off to Matthew Vowinkel in the box before going down. Matthew scored. In the 60th minute Botty goes on a dribble on the right wing and crossed across the box to Vowinkel to be 1 touched in by Vowinkel for the 2-0. a penalty was not called with a slide tackle from behind on Botty in the box following the 2-0 lead. The Greeks now sit tied for 2nd place at 15 points, 5 wins, and 1 loss with the Pancyprians. Only a 1 goal differential seperates the 2 clubs. All eyes will be on this weekends match as we take on the Pancyprians to determine who will take the lead on the other and sit 1 point behind 1st place (lansdowne).
