Greek-American Filmmaker Karapalides Ready to Thrill Audiences with ‘The Hayride’

PHILADELPHIA – ‘The Hayride’ is the latest film project to be spearheaded by a Greek-American, adding to the Community’s achievements in the entertainment industry. Distinguished Philadelphia Attorney and Greek-American Community leader Harry J. Karapalides has teamed up with Hollywood producer and army veteran Diana Ramos-Santiago Carter to bring his award-winning script for the horror film to the big screen.

The film promises to captivate audiences with its thrilling storyline and stellar cast, including Daniel Baldwin, Oksana Lada, and Mike Ferguson – the film teaser has already received accolades in the festival circuit. The final scenes are set to be filmed in Philadelphia this November, adding a local connection to this international endeavor.

Karapalides is very active as a Community leader in the Philadelphia area, currently as President of the Federation of Greek American Societies and Greek Orthodox Churches of Philadelphia.

Karapalides, an award-winning author, is serving as the co-executive producer alongside Carter, who is also a Forbes Next Top 1000 nominee and the founder of Panther Trail Films. The first phase of filming took place in Los Angeles this past April. The production is set to conclude with the final scenes being shot in Philadelphia this November at the renowned Bates Motel Haunted House.

Ramos-Santiago Carter, known for her innovative approach in the film industry, brings her extensive experience as a producer and CEO of Arykas & Ybots PR to this project.

She said to The National Herald: “My journey began while I was assigned to a military base in California. After several years living overseas and in different states, my daughter expressed her interest in acting at the age of seven. Recognizing the potential in the industry, I founded Arykas and Ybots Public Relations Firm, which has allowed me to represent notable Hollywood actors such as Tom Sizemore and Daniel Baldwin. Over time, I expanded into talent management and subsequently launched Panther Trail Films, all while operating from Los Angeles.”

As the founder of Panther Trail Films, she has produced several award-winning projects and is recognized as a visionary leader in entertainment.

Her collaboration with Karapalides is expected to create a unique cinematic experience that blends horror with compelling storytelling.

He is the founder of Karapalides Films and has received numerous accolades for his work in literature and film. Expressing his enthusiasm about the project, he said, “bringing The Hayride to life is a dream come true. Collaborating with Diana and our crew has been an incredible journey. We are eager to share this film with audiences worldwide.”
