Greek Ambassador in Islamabad Papastavrou Arrives in Kabul

KABUL — Greece's Ambassador in Islamabad Andreas Papastavrou on Wednesday arrived safely in Kabul, diplomatic sources said.

Papastavrou went to Kabul at Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias' orders, in order to support the efforts to get citizens of Greek interest out of the city.

Orders were also given to Greek embassies in EU member-states and in Washington to ask Greece's partners and the USA to offer the Greek Ambassador all possible assistance via their embassies in Kabul.
