ATHENS - Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday claimed that the government's decision to have classes broadcast live to students unable to attend school is 'extremely dangerous' and allows illegal surveillance in schools.

Posting οn social media, the main opposition party leader added that the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (AADE) "not only denied it had approved this decision, but also noted that implementing it carries a high risk."

Syriza supports distance learning, Tsipras asserted, but rejects the installation of video cameras in schools, something the entire educational community also condemns as illegal.
