PM Mitsotakis: Educational Television Project a Total Success

ATHENS - Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday expressed his satisfaction over the success of the educational television project at a video conference with teachers that participated in the lessons.

The premier thanked the teachers that took part for their contribution to the educational process and congratulated them, saying that they form "an example, who voluntarily offered their services to state education," and called educational television an innovative endeavour at a historic moment, one that entered every household during the pandemic and conquest for the future.

He also said that the state's priority is to offer equal opportunities to all, adding that with educational television was an example where collective success was achieved through individual contributions as action to address an unprecedented problem gave rise to an innovative solution.

Other participants in the teleconference included Education and Religion Minister Niki Kerameus, Deputy Minister to the prime minister, responsible for the coordination of the government's work, Akis Skertsos, the president of the public broadcaster ERT Constantinos Zoulas, the managing director of ERT Giorgos Gabritsos, the president of the Institute of Educational Policy Ioannis Antoniou and the head of the 1st primary school of Halandri, which was used for filming the lessons, Nikolaos Marinis.
