ATHENS -- "The important thing is that through this process (vaccination) we are restoring the trust of the citizens in the state and in the National Health System. It is very important for the next day as well," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Thursday while visiting the Patissia Health Center.
The prime minister watched the vaccination process, talked to citizens who were either waiting their turn or had just completed the process and thanked the staff of the Center for the valuable services it offers.
"I want to thank all the staff involved in the vaccination process. I think we hear only good words from all citizens, especially for you," he said and reiterated that a lot of care must be taken so that economic activity can resume and schools open as soon as possible.
"The bottom line is that people now know that vaccines are both safe and effective," Mitsotakis noted.
