ATHENS -- "All Greek airports will open on Wednesday on conditions of safety," Deputy Minister for Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias said on Monday upon his arrival at the airport of Lemnos as part of his visits to Greek regional airports ahead of the resumption of international flights on July 1.

"We want tourism to move on, it is a priority, but this will be held without a single discount to the public health. Tourists coming to Greece should be safe and all the islanders that will welcome them must also remain safe," Hardalias said and added: "We have made a huge effort and this effort needs cooperation, understanding and most of all compliance with the protocols whether they concern public health or tests; there will not be random sample tests, but targeted ones."
