Digital Conference on Microsoft's Investment in Greece

ATHENS -- Microsoft's investment in Greece and its positive effects on society were the subject of a digital conference organised under the auspices of the Secretariat of Productive Sectors of the ruling New Democracy party.

The conference entitled "Geostrategic upgrade of Greece through Microsoft investment" focused on the benefits and prospects created for employees, businesses and for the daily lives of citizens through Microsoft's investment in Greece.

Among the guests were the Deputy Minister of Development & Investment Christos Dimas, the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Grigoris Zarifopoulos, the General Manager of Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe Costas Loukas, the director of the National Institute for Sustainable Mobility and Transport Networks of the National Center for Research and Technological Development Angelos Bekiaris, Professor of Digital Governance at the University of the Aegean Giannis Charalambidis and CEO of Innoetics Emilios Chalamandaris.

According to a statement from New Democracy, in his introductory statement, the secretary of the Political Committee of the party, George Stergiou, stressed that "although the health crisis is on the rise and the climate for the economy is not so good worldwide, Microsoft announcement that it is creating three centers is a vote of confidence in Greece, its government and its human resources."
