Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
PARIS – Milena Kontou and Zoi Fitsiou won the bronze medal in Paris Olympic Games in the lightweight women’s double sculls on Friday. The Greek team covered the distance in 6:49.28 after the British team that took the first place with 6:47.06 and Romania that came second with 6:48.78.
Earlier, Greece won its third medal in the Olympic Games in Paris in the lightweight men’s double sculls. Antonis Papakonstantinou and Petros Gaidatzis won the bronze medal covering the distance in 6:13.44.
