Greece, UK Sign MoU During Dendias’ London Visit on Monday

LONDON — Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss in London on Monday.

On Twitter, Dendias wrote that “the MoU on Strategic Bilateral Framework between Greece and the UK opens a new chapter in their post-Brexit partnership, deepening their cooperation on a wide range of areas, including foreign policy and defence.”

In another tweet, the Greek minister noted that he held a “warm and productive discussion on taking forward Greece-UK security and trade cooperation. Developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus issue and Western Balkans were also reviewed.”

Earlier on Monday Dendias also met Minister for Europe & Americas at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Wendy Morton, with whom he had a “timely discussion on recent developments regarding the Cyprus issue and the Eastern Mediterranean region,” tweeted the Greek Foreign Ministry.
