Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
There were 207 new cases of SARS-Cov-2 detected in Greece on Sunday, of which 23 were found during checks at the entrances into the country, the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) announced.
The total number of cases in the country has now increased to 13,240, of which 55.5 pct are men and 2,394 (18.1 pct) are linked to travel abroad, while 5,710 (43.1 pct) are linked to another known case.
The number of patients with Covid-19 needing respiratory support was 54 on Sunday, while their median age was 70 years old. Twelve (22.2 pct) of these cases were women and 88.9 pct had either an underlying condition or were aged above 70 years old. A total of 171 Covid-19 patients have exited ICUs.
There were three more deaths related to Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total to 305. Of these, 112 were women while the median age of those that died was 78 and 96.4 pct had either an underlying condition or were aged above 70.
