Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS — Registered unemployment totaled 1,030,411 in September, up 5.48 pct compared with August and up 12.83 pct in comparison with September 2019, the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) said in a report on Tuesday.
More specifically, OAED said the number of unemployed people seeking job totaled 970,895 in September, of whom 527,156 were long-term unemployed. Registered unemployment among men was 35.86 pct while among women 64.14 pct. The number of registered unemployed not seeking jobs was 51,516 in September, of whom 31.97 pct were men and 68.03 pct women.
The number of people receiving unemployment benefits totaled 161,270 in September.
