Greece Records 264 New Coronavirus Infections

ATHENS — The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced 264 confirmed novel coronavirus cases on Saturday, of which 29 were identified at entry points to Greece.

A total of 8,381 cases have been recorded in Greece since the pandemic broke out in this country, with 1,832 of these related to travel abroad and 3,842 related to an already known case.

Thirty-one people are in ICUs, and their median age is 68 years. They include 7 women. Another 143 have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.

In addition, 2 people died in the last 24hours, bringing the fatalities total to 240. Of these, 84 were women. The median age was 77 years of age and 94.6 pct of the deceased had an underlying condition.
