Greece Recorded 306 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases and 5 Deaths in the Last 24 Hours

ATHENS – Greece recorded 306 new confirmed coronavirus cases on Saturday of which 57 are linked to already confirmed clusters and 30 were identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said.

Of the 22,078 confirmed cases since the disease made its appearance in Greece in late February, 3,245 are linked to travel abroad and 9,002 to already confirmed cases.

Some 100 individuals are intubated. Their median age is 68 years, 90 pct have an underlying condition or are aged 70 or more, and 29 of them are women. A total of 238 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic.

EODY also said that 5 people died in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of Covid-19-related fatalities in Greece to 436. Of these, 96.6 pct had an underlying condition their median age was 79 and 161 were women.


ANKARA - Turkey's Coast Guard, which is letting human traffickers send refugees and migrants to Greece, said it had saved 143 of them allegedly pushed back by Greece, but again not offering any proof.
