Greece New European Bauhaus Festival to Be Held at the Experience Park in June

ATHENS – With the aim of bringing the European Green Deal into our daily lives, the 1st Greece New European Bauhaus Festival will be held at the Experience Park on June 9-12.

The 1st Greece New European Bauhaus Festival entitled “ECO-building the Future” invites everyone to imagine and build a sustainable, inclusive future, which will satisfy the eyes, the mind and the soul.

According to the organisers, the World Human Forum and the Convergences Greece Forum in collaboration with EVZIN.LIFE and Lamda Development as strategic partner, will bring to Greece a new annual institution, which is led at a European level by European Commission President President Ursula von der Leyen.

All activities will be hosted at The Ellinikon Experience Park, the new urban experiential park of Elliniko, which opened its gates in December 2021, and is the ideal place to host this initiative as it has been designed according to the principles of sustainable development, marking a new, more environmentally-friendly approach.

The three main objectives of the festival are: building the community so there is an annual meeting of stakeholders to promote the movement, presenting examples of good practices, results and progress in developing and implementing innovative solutions, and strengthening the EU’s role as a global benchmark for sustainable transformation. Based on these objectives, the first actions of the first new annual institution in Greece will include the following actions:

On June 9, the day of the inaugural event, the festival will kick off with world-class international speakers in the fields of environment, urban development, tourism, redevelopment and sustainability, as well as government representatives.

On the June 9-10 but also on June 11-12, there will be exhibition stands as well as events with music and screenings.

Also, there will be a first presentation of the CELL OF LIFE dome, an innovative participatory, technological environmental observatory and environmental regeneration centre open to children, young people and families.
