Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS — Greece is now marked green in the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) maps for the coronavirus as the test positivity rate of the COVID-19 fell below 4 percent and the notification rate is lower than 25 cases per 100 000 people.
The maps are based on data reported by EU Member States to The European Surveillance System (TESSy) database by 23:59 every Tuesday.
The optimistic message on the downward trend of the epidemic was also noted during the last briefing of the representative of the of the Health Ministry's scientists committee.
The scientists urged the people to continue to be very cautious and to strictly observe the protection measures as the "the epidemic may get worse in a very short time but its de-escalation is slow and difficult".
