Greece in the International Competition “Best Tourism Village” with Three Nominations

Fiskardo in the Municipality of Sami, Perdika in the Municipality of Igoumenitsa and Arnaia in the Municipality of Aristotle are the three Greek candidates that will represent Greece in the competition of the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), “Best Tourism Villages”, as decided by the special committee set up by the Deputy Tourism Minister in charge of special forms of tourism, Sofia Zacharaki.

The aim of “Best Tourism Villages” is to highlight excellent examples of destinations for agritourism, with the Ministry of Tourism participating in the competition for the second consecutive year, in the context of promoting the Greek agritourism product in areas with a population of up to 15,000 inhabitants, based on the principles of sustainable development.
