Greece Imposes COVID-19 Restrictions on Four Regional Units

ATHENS — Emergency restrictions to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus were decided on Friday for the regional units of Kavala, Imathia, Pieria and Pella, while it was decided to extend the restrictive measures for Covid in the regions of Argolida and Evrytania.

The measures are in effect from Friday, September 17 to Friday, September 24.

According to the ministerial decision, a curfew is in effect from 01:00 to 06:00. Locals can leave their home only to go to work and during work hours or for health reasons. There will be no music in bars and other venues except for wedding and christening receptions.


ATHENS - Greece’s push to get more electric vehicles on the roads, which will offer subsidies to buy them and set up more charging stations, will be applied to taxis as well in the capital and the country’s second-largest city of Thessaloniki.
