Greece Hot Spot for Tourists, Delta Adds Daily Summer 2024 Boston Flights

ATHENS – With Greece continuing to be among the world’s favored destinations for tourists and more American carriers adding direct flights, Delta Airlines said it will step up service from Boston the summer of 2024 to daily.

The airline had direct flights in 2022 and this year, proving so popular that it will move from four times a week to everyday to capitalize on the country’s popularity, the Boston area having a big Diaspora population.

In May-October 2022 the route carried 33,900 passengers, while in May-August 2023 it reached 34,500 passengers, a 64 percent growth in one year, the airline said of its success.

The airline serves the route with Airbus A330-900 Neo aircraft that offer 281 seats, of which 29 are Delta One, 20 Premium Select and 56 Comfort+ with other American airlines already having direct flights much of the year.
