Greece Honored as ‘Favorite Country’ by Millennial American Travelers for Fifth Year at The Trazees 2024

September 7, 2024

As reported by Travel and Tour World on August 27, 2024

Greece has once again been recognized as a top travel destination, earning the title of ‘Favorite Country’ for the fifth consecutive year at The Trazees 2024, a prestigious American tourism and travel awards ceremony. This accolade, awarded by readers of Trazee Travel, highlights Greece’s sustained appeal, particularly among millennial travelers – a demographic that significantly influences travel trends.

The Trazees, produced by FXExpress Publications, Inc., in collaboration with Global Traveler magazine, focus on travelers aged 25-40, known for their adventurous and dynamic travel preferences. Achieving the Favorite Country title for five consecutive years has earned Greece the esteemed ‘Quint Status’, a rare distinction that underscores the country’s consistent excellence as a travel destination.

The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) has played a pivotal role in this success, strategically promoting Greece as a top choice for millennials who seek a blend of ancient history, vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and culinary delights. Greece’s ability to meet and exceed the expectations of this demographic, who prioritize unique and immersive experiences, is a key factor in its ongoing recognition.

In addition to being named the Favorite Country, Greece also ranked second in the ‘Favorite Honeymoon Destination’ category at The Trazees 2024, further cementing its status as a versatile and desirable travel destination. The ceremony, held in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 12, saw participation from top global travel destinations, with Konstantinos Harokopos, head of the GNTO’s office in North America, accepting the award on Greece’s behalf.

As Greece continues to attract accolades, the GNTO’s focus on sustainable tourism and promoting lesser-known destinations is expected to sustain the country’s appeal to millennial travelers, setting a high standard in the global travel industry.
