Greece Getting Wego Travel App, Artificial Intelligence to Guide Tourists

Greece’s National Tourism Organization (GNTO) is partnering with the travel app Wego from Singapore and Dubai to simplify finding flights, accommodations, and tourism sites for visitors—along with an upcoming Artificial Intelligence model.

Wego officials described the partnership as an invitation for travelers “to immerse themselves in Greece’s breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and exquisite cuisine, promising an unforgettable Mediterranean adventure.”

They added that a campaign, as Greece anticipates another record-breaking year, “will feature an array of activities and tailored travel experiences designed to capture the essence of Greece’s charm and allure,” according to Breaking News Travel.

Travelers will have access to advanced search and booking features on Wego’s platform to find deals, while Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou mentioned that an AI app—developed through the Tourism Ministry—will be unveiled on June 3.

Mamoun Hmedan, Chief Business Officer at Wego, said, “Greece offers an unparalleled mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it a top choice for summer travel. Through this partnership, we aim to inspire and facilitate memorable travel experiences for our users and drive more visitations.”

GNTO Secretary-General Dimitris Fragakis stated, “We are joining forces with Wego to showcase how, with easy flight connectivity, Greece is an accessible paradise, perfect for creating unforgettable memories.”
