Greece Floods: Missing Shepherd in Evia Found Dead

ATHENS — A 69-year-old shepherd from Tsakeous, a village in southern Evia, who had been missing since late on Thursday was found dead on Friday afternoon.

He was found by a helicopter near a river.

The Fire Brigade received a call after 22.00 on Thursday that a person was in danger after he tried to cross the flooded stream in his car. Parts of the car were found in the search that followed and the 69-year-old was found dead on Friday.
