ATHENS — Fire fighting forces are continuing to operate in the Ancient Olympia to stop any rekindling of the flames, while the village of Helidoni has been evacuated as a precaution, the Deputy Regional Governor of Ilia Vassilis Giannopoulos told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Thursday.

He said that the fire brigade was now particularly focused on the front in Helidoni and had ordered an evacuation as a precaution.
