Greek-American James A. Koshivos, 21, Killed after Car Plunged into Ocean
FALMOUTH, MA – The police in Falmouth have identified the victim in an accident involving a car plunging into the ocean on February 20, NBC10 Boston reported.
ATHENS — The amount of 2,840,000 euros is to be distributed among 16 municipalities in the country (of which 14 are in Attica) as emergency funding for fire protection actions, following a decision by Deputy Interior Minister Stelios Petsas announced on Tuesday.
The additional funding corresponds to a decision of the General Secretariat for Civil Protection to declare 11 municipalities in the Attica Region, as well as the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, in a state of special of civil protection mobilisation.
The amount covers the execution of works related to dealing with the damage inflicted by the "Medea" storm in the winter and the strengthening of fire protection measures. The actions concern, among others, clearing and removal of combustible materials.
