Greece-Cyprus Joint Exercise “SALAMIS-03/21”

ΑΤΗΕΝS — A joint Cyprus-Greece search-and-rescue exercise code-named "SALAMIS-03/21" took place on Sunday within the Cyprus Search and Rescue Region, with the participation of the Greek frigate "KANARIS", a helicopter of the 460th Search and Rescue Squadron of the Cyprus National Guard, as well as specialist nurses of the Ambulance Service of the State Health Services Organisation.

This exercise, coordinated by the Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Centre in collaboration with the Hellenic Navy General Staff is the third planned search-and-rescue activity in 2021 and is part of the existing Transnational Search and Rescue Agreement between Cyprus and Greece.
