ATHENS – A Protocol of Cooperation for an Erasmus-type programme for exchanges of civil servants between Greece and Cyprus was signed on Thursday, by Greece’s National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) and the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration (CAPA).

The protocol was signed by Interior Minister Makis Voridis and Cyprus Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides, as well as senior staff at both organisations, at a ceremony in Nicosia on Thursday. It envisages joint participation in European and international programmes, networking with international and European agencies and the exchange of experiences, best practices and knowhow.

The ministers agreed to intensify cooperation in the training and further education of staff, provision of consultation services and research.

NICOSIA - Seven countries including Greece, the US, France, Italy and Israel have taken part in a series of drills in and around Cyprus designed to ease civilian evacuations from conflict zones and to conduct offshore rescue operations, amid a renewed sense of urgency due to the war in Ukraine.
