Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – Greece confirmed 6,862 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, with 11 of these identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Friday.

A total of 508 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 65 years and 82.5 pct have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over. Of the total, 423 (83.27 pct) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 85 (16.73 pct) are fully vaccinated.
Another 3,391 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
