Greece: 44 Foreigners Arrested for Presented Forged Travel Documents

ATHENS — Forty-four foreigners were arrested between September 21, 2020 and September 27, 2020 at Heraklion Airport on Crete and charged with presenting forged documents.

They include 28 men and 16 women, who, during checks by officers at the Heraklion Airport Police Department, presented forged travel documents in order to leave the country for Italy, France, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.

The forged documents were confiscated, while a preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Heraklion Airport Police Department.
